Antonio is a roboticist who has been researching the intersection of wearable robotics, human motion, and machine learning. During his doctoral studies, he created a platform to characterize human gait in a portable and accurate fashion using e-textiles. In addition, he developed various machine learning models to map raw sensor data to high-level gait characteristics in real-time to facilitate gait analysis using wearable sensors. At Seismic, Antonio leads the Machine Learning and Artificial Intelligence initiative to make Powered Clothing intelligent and capable of adapting to the user.
Antonio received his M.S. and Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering from Columbia University, focusing on rehabilitation robotics.
